Prior to Atelier, Mr. Brilliant was the Managing Director for the US operations of Syntek Capital AG, a €400 million European private equity fund with offices in Munich, Milan and Tel Aviv that invested in media and technology. Before joining Syntek, Mr. Brilliant was Director of Business Development at Harrods in London where he was responsible for worldwide business development, strategy and eCommerce, as well as overseeing aspects of the personal portfolio of private companies of the Harrods' owner. Before Harrods, Mr. Brilliant was the Chief Web Officer of JM Family Enterprises, Inc., currently the 17th largest privately held company in the United States (over $9.0 billion in revenue), where he was responsible for overall Internet strategy and development. In addition to being on the board of WellDoc, Mr. Brilliant sits on the board of directors of Adam+Eve, Harry's of London, Mary Norton, Kaenon, C2Media and Portero. Mr. Brilliant previously served on the board of directors of WildBrain and eCommLink.
Mr. Greenebaum is past Chairman of the Board of the University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS), which also includes University Hospital, the State of Maryland's Shock Trauma Center and the Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center, and has been widely recognized as a dynamic leader of one of our country's leading teaching hospitals.
A lifelong Baltimore resident, Mr. Greenebaum is President of Greenebaum and Rose Associates, a privately-held, full-service, real estate development and management company with offices in Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. Founded in 1981, the firm has extensive experience in the full spectrum of development, from revitalizing historic downtown properties to new development in both urban and suburban markets.
Mr. Hawks is a pioneer in using professional information network (PINs) data as a sales force tool and is credited with being the first person to translate the scientific research on social networks into a commercial application in the B2B market. Mr. Hawks founded COMSORT in 1989. Working with leading researchers, COMSORT established a series of interactive workshops to transfer knowledge and skills from the research community to practicing physicians. In 1994, he studied Diffusion of Innovation and Social Network Analysis literature and began to experiment with data collection techniques and systems to analyze the data. He determined that physicians operate within a very structured environment of interrelatedness and that innovations tended to follow the paths of advice-seeking and trust.
