Ryan Sysko
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Mr. Sysko is an experienced executive with an extensive background in helping to launch start up companies and has a deep knowledge of sales and direct-to-consumer marketing. Prior to joining WellDoc, Mr. Sysko was the Director of Marketing and Business Development for The Credo Group, one of the leading direct-to-consumer marketers of life and health insurance products via the web. Mr. Sysko was formerly the CEO and Founder of the Assurance Marketing Group, a marketing agency focused on the direct distribution of life and health insurance products via the internet. In addition, Mr. Sysko has held management positions within financial services companies such as Bank One, MBNA, Conseco, and Juniper Bank.
Suzanne Sysko Clough,

Founder & Chief Medical Officer
Dr. Clough is board certified in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology and a specialist in diabetes care and weight management. Prior to WellDoc, Dr. Clough served in the University of Maryland School of Medicine's Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition, and was the Medical Director of the Center for Weight Management and Wellness. As a physician in the Joslin Diabetes Center at University of Maryland, Dr. Clough has long utilized the strength and support of a multidisciplinary team to empower her patients as they make the necessary changes to enjoy longer and better lives. Dr. Clough also served as medical director of the "Get Fit Maryland" program. Dr. Clough's frustration with the way diabetes is currently managed was a driving influence for founding WellDoc.
Anand K. Iyer, Ph.D
President & Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Iyer has more than 20 years of consulting, industrial, and academic experience in the areas of business strategy development, network engineering, economic modeling, service development, and value network analysis. He was most recently a Director in the Communications Industry Group at PRTM Management Consultants. Dr. Iyer led PRTM's Wireless Solutions practice, where he focused on helping companies in both the commercial and government sectors capitalize on the convergence of three mega trends: Internet ubiquity, emerging wireless technologies, and innovative business models. He is also the founder and President of the In-Building Wireless Alliance, a cross-industry, non-for-profit aimed at accelerating the adoption of in-building wireless for the real estate and public safety communities. Prior to joining PRTM, Dr. Iyer was a member of the scientific staff at Bell Northern Research and Nortel Networks. He holds a Ph.D. and an MS degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering, and an MBA degree from Carnegie Mellon University. He also holds a BE degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carleton University. Dr. Iyer holds memberships in the IEEE, Society for Photo-Optic Instrumentation Engineers (SPIE), and Sigma Xi.
Malinda Peeples, RN, MS, CDE
Vice President for Healthcare Integration
Malinda Peeples, RN, MS, CDE, has over 20 years experience in clinical support, program development, and technology consulting for diabetes programs in integrated health systems, community based programs, clinical research, and private practice in both urban and rural settings. Recently, Peeples served as president of the American Association of Diabetes Educators (AADE), where she advanced the strategic direction of the organization to incorporate behavior change as a key outcome of education practice and research. Peeples has published peer-reviewed articles regarding diabetes education topics, including articles published in The Diabetes Educator, Diabetes Care, and Endocrine Practice. She frequently presents at healthcare conferences around the world about diabetes education and the importance of behavior change among patients with chronic conditions. Peeples received a bachelor's degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina and earned a master's degree in nursing informatics from the University of Maryland in Baltimore. She recently completed a post graduate research fellowship in health sciences informatics from The Johns Hopkins School of Medicine in Baltimore. Peeples holds memberships in the AADE, American Diabetes Association, Society for Behavioral Medicine, and the American Informatics Association.
James M Minor, Ph.D., Ph.D.
Chief Scientist
Dr. Minor, has spent the past 30 years working in the fields of genomics, pharmacokinetics & pharmacodynamics, and neural networks utilizing Ph.D.'s in both Statistics and Physics. Dr. Minor was most recently at Agilent where he invented methods for microarray image analysis, calibration, diagnostics, QC, and DNA profiling. He has focused on developing and implementing statistical models to improve the efficacy of patient treatment outcomes and optimizing genomic-based drug discovery.
Lauren Bronich-Hall, MS, RD,
LDN, CDE
Director of Education
Ms. Bronich-Hall is a certified diabetes educator and registered dietitian who comes to WellDoc with a variety of experiences involving education and teamwork. Prior to joining WellDoc, Ms. Bronich-Hall shared her expertise in diabetes education at Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center, serving as the educator to both patients and staff on an in-patient diabetes management team. At this facility, she initiated a protocol to standardize the care and treatment of patients experiencing hypoglycemia, worked with physicians and nurses to increase their understanding of diabetes, and provided outpatient counseling and insulin pump training to patients. Her sincere interest in education is also highlighted in her previous experiences as an adjunct professor, textbook reviewer, supermarket guide for those with diabetes, and renal dietitian. Currently, Ms. Bronich-Hall serves as a program reviewer for the Commission on the Accreditation for Dietetics Education. She has presented at national meetings, published in peer-reviewed journals, and has been recognized by her colleagues, dietetic interns, and the Maryland Dietetic Association for her contributions to the field.
Prasad Reddy
Web/Database Director
Mr. Reddy is an experienced information technology developer and manager in the field of healthcare. He was most recently with BlueCross and BlueShield of Michigan, working on implementing novel technologies to enhance the productivity of BCBS MI's claims processing systems. Prasad holds a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering from Osmania University and Master's degree in Computer Engineering from Wayne State University.
Matti Prasad
Wireless Director
Mr. Prasad is an experienced wireless architect and wireless application developer. Prior to joining WellDoc, he was a Principle Investigator in Temasek Polytechnic's Wireless Research and Development unit, located in Singapore. During his tenure at Temasek Polytechnic, he led many wireless projects in collaboration with companies like Motorola, Philips, Siemens and other local companies in Singapore.
