    CLINICAL TRIALS

  • From time to time, WellDoc Communications is a sponsor participant in or independently sponsors clinical trials related to the monitoring, management and treatment of diabetes. Clinical trials are scientific research studies designed to find better ways to treat or prevent diseases. In participating in or conducting clinical trials, WellDoc Communications’ goal is to help you make an educated decision about participating in a clinical trial and to help you understand the clinical trial process. WellDoc Communications recommends that you consult your doctor before participating in any clinical trial.
  • In order to participate in a clinical trial, you must meet the criteria established for clinical trial participants. If you decide you would like to participate in a WellDoc Communications clinical trial, you will need to answer some preliminary questions designed to screen volunteers to determine if you meet the preliminary qualifications. After reviewing your responses to the preliminary questions, WellDoc Communications may contact you and may ask more questions about your eligibility for the clinical trial. WellDoc Communications may invite you to a designated study center to receive additional screening tests. However, WellDoc Communications cannot and does not guarantee that you will be so contacted. If you are chosen to participate in the clinical trial, and if you decide you want to participate in the clinical trial, you will be required to sign an informed consent before enrolling in the clinical trial. An informed consent is provided to you to help you understand the clinical trial, the nature of the medical treatment (if any), procedures and known risks involved (if any), before you agree to participate in the study.
